Types of gasket sheets

PTFE gasket sheets offer exceptional chemical resistance and perform in aggressive media such as acids, solvents, and hydrocarbons. Variants like filled PTFE (with barium sulfate, silica, or aluminosilicate microspheres) improve compressibility, creep resistance, and sealing under high stress. Microcellular PTFE sheets are ideal for low bolt load flanges and irregular sealing surfaces.

Graphite gasket sheets are commonly used in high-temperature and steam applications. Reinforced options with stainless steel inserts provide added strength and blowout resistance, making them suitable for demanding petrochemical and power generation environments.

Compressed non-asbestos fiber (CNAF) sheets combine aramid fibers with elastomeric binders such as NBR, SBR, or neoprene. These sheets provide balanced sealing performance for water, steam, oils, and mild chemicals, and are widely used in general industrial maintenance.
